Air fryers are the latest cooking craze and I am personally such a fan. I use my air fryer almost everyday. Whether it be to make full meals, or to simply make my morning toast, my air fryer has become my favourite kitchen tool. Air fryers work by using a heating element and a fan that blows air through the cooking chamber. They don’t actually fry food at all so they are actually a healthier way to “fry” food than deep frying them. They are basically a compact convection oven and can be used to cook almost any food including fruits, vegetables, meat, fish dishes and more.

You might be surprised to learn that you can easily cook frozen food in an air fryer. You can get nice and crisp, fresh tasting, delicious meals by cooking food from frozen in an air fryer. It’s so easy to do and will cut down your time in the kitchen so much. We are all so busy and spending hours in the kitchen isn’t practical. You can save so much time by cooking food from frozen rather than waiting for it to thaw. With that in mind, in this post I will share thee best frozen foods to cook in an air fryer.

Other frozen foods you can cook in your air fryer include tater tots, mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders, dumplings, steak, popcorn chicken, French toast sticks, frozen pizza, pizza rolls, frozen bread, corn dogs and hot pockets. There are just so many options!

My best tips for air fryer cooking:

  • Every model of air fryer is different, so you may have to adjust the cooking times slightly
  • When making food in the air fryer, don’t overlap the food. Instead place it in single layer so that it cooks evenly

Frequently asked questions:

What should you not cook in an air fryer?

There are a few things you shouldn’t cook in an air fryer, including bacon and popcorn. Yes it is possible to do it, but the manufacturers recommend that you don’t for safety reasons. Bacon is too greasy while popcorn kernels are too small and in both cases there is a risk that your air fryer could catch fire if you try cooking these foods in one.
