Air fryer fish sticks are the best! They are so quick and easy to make because they are cooked from frozen. They turn out perfectly crispy and delicious and are healthier than deep fried fish sticks. They're a kid-friendly meal that will taste like you ordered fast food.

Why you will love this recipe:

    • Air fried fish sticks turn out so crisp and delicious! No soggy fish sticks here.
    • Fish sticks in air fryer are really easy to make and are ready in under 15 minutes.
    • The clean up is so simple and easy when you cook these frozen fish sticks in air fryer.
    • You don't need to thaw the fish sticks before cooking them. You cook them right from frozen!
    • Because you don't deep fry fish fingers in air fryer they are healthier than getting fast food fish sticks.
    • Kids love these air fryer frozen fish sticks!
    • This cooking method also works for gluten free air fryer fish sticks.

    Ingredients and substitutions:

    • Frozen fish sticks - you can use homemade or store bought fish sticks, whichever you prefer. Any brand of frozen breaded fish sticks will work including Gorton's fish sticks, Great Value fish sticks, Costco fish sticks, Mrs. Paul's fish sticks, and Fisher Boys fish sticks.
    • Spray oil (this is optional depending on the type of air fryer that you have) - I prefer using avocado oil for this but you can also use olive oil.
    • Fresh lemons (also optional) - to give these fish sticks a fresh squeeze of lemon juice once they've finished cooking.

    How to cook:

Put the frozen fish sticks on the tray of your air fryer and cook them at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 12-15 minutes.

    Chef's tips and variations:

    • Every model of air fryer is different so you may have to adjust the cooking times slightly depending on the model that you have.
    • You can cook fish sticks in any model of air fryer, including the Ninja foodie air fryer.
    • When placing the frozen fish sticks on the trays or basket of your air fryer, put them in a single layer, do not overlap them or they won't cook properly.
    • Depending on the size of the fish sticks you use, you may have to adjust the cooking time.
    • The fish sticks on the lower rack will take a couple extra minutes to cook compared to the ones on the top rack.
    • If food tends to stick to your air fryer, spray the basket or trays with a cooking oil such as avocado oil or olive oil before placing the fish sticks on them.

    How to store:

If you have leftover cooked fish sticks, store them in an air tight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.

    Serving ideas for fish sticks:

    • Turn these into air fryer fish and chips by serving them with air fryer French fries.
    • Dip them in tartar sauce or my lemon dill aioli.
    • Pair them with a salad such as a Caesar salad, healthy broccoli salad, or homemade coleslaw.
    • Squeeze a little fresh lemon on the cooked fish sticks.
