    These chocolate orange overnight oats are the best! They are so easy to make and this healthy overnight oats recipe tastes like a Terry's chocolate orange, yet is made with good for you ingredients. This healthy breakfast is naturally gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan too.

    Why you will love these oats:

    • The flavour! These oats tastes like a Terry's chocolate orange and have the most amazing rich and creamy texture.
    • They are quick and easy to make and only take a few minutes to prepare.
    • This healthy breakfast recipe is dairy-free, gluten-free and vegan and is made without yogurt or chia seeds.
    • It's perfect for meal prep and you can make a double or triple batch to have easy breakfasts on hand all week.

    • Dry ingredients: rolled oats, cocoa powder or cacao powder, and ground flax seeds. Don't try using quick oats or rolled oats.
    • Wet ingredients: orange juice, full fat coconut milk and maple syrup.
    • Orange zest: to add even more orange flavour to these oats.

    Recipe variations and add ins:

    • Instead of flax seeds you could use chia seeds or hemp seeds.
    • To make it even more chocolatey add some dark chocolate chips.
    • Instead of coconut milk you can use another dairy-free milk such as cashew milk or almond milk.
    • To make higher in protein: use plain greek yogurt instead of full fat coconut milk.

    How to make chocolate orange overnight oats:

    A glass bowl filled with oats, coconut milk and cocoa powder.
    1. Step 1: Add all the ingredients to a large bowl or jar.

    1. Step 2: Stir everything well to combine all the ingredients. Let the mixture rest for at least 3 hours, or overnight in the fridge. 

    Top tips:

    • You can make these oats in either a large mason jar or storage container with a lid.
    • This makes a large serving of overnight oats. If you prefer a smaller serving you can cut the recipe in half.
    • Serving ideas: these oats are delicious served as is but you could add toppings such as chocolate chips, cocoa nibs, shredded coconut, nuts, or chocolate shavings.

    Ingredients

    • 1/2 cup rolled oats
    • 2 tbsp cocoa powder (or cacao powder)
    • 1 tablespoon ground flax seeds
    • 1 tablespoon orange zest
    • 3/4 cup coconut milk (or other milk of choice)
    • 1/4 cup orange juice
    • 2 tablespoon maple syrup or honey

    Instructions

    • Add all the ingredients to a large bowl or jar.
    • Stir or shake well to combine all the ingredients.
    • Let it sit for at least 3 hours, or overnight in the fridge.
    • Serve and enjoy!
