How to Make Tanghulu

This recipe is a fun twist on the classic Chinese street food!

To make this Tanghulu you'll need: fresh fruit, granulated sugar, and water.

Step 1: First, wash and dry the fruit and place each piece on a wooden skewer, bamboo stick, or long bamboo skewer.

Chef's tip: Dry the fruit completely before putting it on the bamboo skewer. If it is still wet the sugar coating may not harden.

Step 2: Cook water and sugar over medium-high heat in a medium pot until it reaches 250 to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 3: Dip fruit into the syrup to coat. Place dipped skewers on a baking sheet lined with parchment.

Step 4: Once the coating hardens, serve and enjoy! Or store in the fridge so the coating stays hard.
