Ingredients

  • 2 lbs brussel sprouts, ends trimmed and cut in half
  • 2 red applies of choice (I used Gala), chopped into pieces
  • 5 slices bacon (nitrate and sugar free), chopped into pieces ~1cm wide
  • 1/3 cup avocado oil
  • 2 tablespoon Maple Syrup omit for Whole30, SCD and GAPS
  • 2 tablespoon Herbes de Provence Spice Blend
  • 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper omit for AIP
  • 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon sea salt this will depend on how salty your bacon is - I recommend adding this after they are cooked so you can determine how much salt needs to be added

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400F
  • In a large bowl mix all the ingredients together
  • Spread the ingredients evenly on a baking sheet
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, until bacon and Brussels sprouts are crisp
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes
  • Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  1. If you are following a Whole30 diet make sure to omit the maple syrup
  2. Feel free to change up the spices in this recipe for different flavour combinations
