Steam chopped cauliflower and parsnips until soft (about 30 minutes) - alternatively you could place a small amount of water in a large pot (think 1-2 cm) and boil for the same time until soft
Remove from heat and place the vegetables in a large glass or ceramic bowl
Add coconut oil and sea salt and optional spices if using them
Using your submersion blender puree the vegetables until you have a smooth consistency
