Place a large pot on the stove on medium heat.
Add a small amount of water to the pot (enough so you have about a centimetre of water in the bottom of your pot).
Add the remaining ingredients to the pot.
Bring to a boil and let simmer for ~20 minutes, until apples are soft and break apart easily.
Use your immersion blender and blend the ingredients until smooth.
Serve and enjoy!
- Save any leftover applesauce in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 7 days.
- This applesauce freezes really well.
- You can use any type of sweet red apples that you like for this recipe.
- You can omit both the vanilla extract and cinnamon if you prefer.
